Mesa County Water Rescue

On May 19th, 2020 at approximately 15:30 Grand Junction Regional Communication Center alerted Clifton Fire Protection District with the aid of Central Orchard Mesa Fire Department and Grand Junction Fire Department to a river rescue on the Colorado River near Corn Lake. Boat 5 was put in at the Redlands Parkway boat launch to start upriver to make contact with parties reported to 911. Boat 21 found one party a mile down river who had been under distress after the boat took on water, the patient was transported back to the boat ramp without serious injury and all other units went available.
