Confined Space Rescue Training

The North Area Technical Rescue Team conducted confined space rescue training at Land O Lakes Purina, 6151 Brighton Boulevard on November 12th, 2021. The real life scenario gave participants hands-on training designed to hone skills and build confidence. Some of the considerations in play included scene safety, supplied air breathing systems, atmospheric monitoring, personal protective equipment, patient packaging, recovery, and rope handling.

NATRT was formed in June of 1995 as a coordinated technical rescue training program and responds to technical rescues in the suburbs north of Denver, The team specializes in rope, confined space, trench and collapse rescues. Adams County Fire Rescue, Arvada Fire Protection District, Brighton Fire Rescue District, Federal Heights Fire Department, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Mountain View Fire Rescue, North Metro Fire Rescue District, South Adams County Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department and Westminster Fire Department are all members of the team.
