Pleasant View Structure Fire

At 19:11 on February 24th, 2024 Pleasant View Fire Department, Golden Fire Department, Fairmount Fire Protection District and Stadium Medical responded to a reported structure fire in the 16000 block of W. 10th Ave. in West Pleasant View. Jeffcom (Central Fire Dispatch – CNF) advised reporting party that smoke was coming up from the floor. Medic 21 arrived in the area with heavy smoke showing from the 3rd floor with a working fire and started with the evacuations with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Engine 41 arrived to a large three-story apartment building with heavy fire conditions from the 3rd floor, pulled a 1 3/4 from tank water and requested 2 additional engines and a Battalion from Arvada Fire Protection District. Truck 24 arrived and assigned with the primary search and Truck 31 put their stick up and went to the roof. Battalion 30 arrived and assumed command in the Alpha-Bravo corner in the offensive strategy. The fire was quickly put under control and crews started overhaul and the investigation. The American Red Cross was requested to assist. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported from the fire.
