At 16:12 on July 12th, 2024 Strasburg Fire Protection District with the I-70 corridor fire departments responded to a large wheat field fire on E. 88th Ave. & Strasburg Rd. Crews arrived to a large wheat field fire with 25 to 35 foot flames and started fire attack and request mutual-aid from other departments. The fire burned approximately 100 acres and crews worked in over 100 degrees throughout the fire.
