On February 26th, 2026 around 10:40 Jeffcom 911 dispatched Golden Gate Fire Protection District to a reported residential structure fire in the 10600 block of Ralston Creek Rd. and mutual-aid was requested. Timberline Engine 55 arrived to a small two-story structure fully involved and started defensive operations with a 1 3/4 to prevent spread and to contain the fire to the involved building. Chief 82 arrived and assumed command and Arvada Engine 58 arrived and assigned to operated as the second due engine and water, while water tenders transported additional water supply to the scene. The fire extended into the surrounding vegetation with some minor extension into trees and grasses with embers that caused a tree to ignite some distance away. The fire burned less than an acre. The scene was monitored overnight by fire department personnel for hot spots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Golden Fire Department and Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) investigators.
