Bluebell Fire

On February 28th, 2026 at 12:45 Boulder Police & Fire Communications (9100) dispatched Boulder Fire-Rescue Department to a wildland fire on Bluebell Trail off Bluebell Rd. in Boulder during a Red Flag Warning day. Engine 141 arrived with smoke showing over the ridge from the Chautauqua Trail by the ranger station. Battalion 143 arrived and assumed command with a half acre fire moving in light flashy fuels with moderate spread heading into the tress. A helicopter was requested for water drops and additional engines and water tenders to respond. The fire burned 1.5 acres and was contained before threatening any nearby homes. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Boulder Fire-Rescue Department
