The 24 Fire was reported on March 18th, 2026 around 10:00 in Fremont County on the Fort Carson property along Hwy. 115 in Fremont County. The fire has burned 7,385 acres as of March 26th, 2026 with 61% containment. The fire crossed into Pueblo County and El Paso County which expanded the area of fire and increasing the complexity of the operations. Mandatory evacuations southwest of the fire were were in effect within a 2 mile radius of County Rd. 245 and Hwy. 115 and a pre evacuation was also ordered within a 3 mile radius of the fire.
