
Boulder County Highway 36 Grass Fire
Mountain View Grass Fire
On June 29th, 2026 at 13:30 Boulder County Communications Center dispatched Mountain View Fire Rescue, Louisville Fire Protection District and Lafayette Fire Department responded to a grass fire along the Denver-bound side of Hwy. 36 between Boulder and Superior near Cherryvale Rd. with multiple 911 callers. Initial attack showed a small grass fire in the south side shoulder that was spreading up the hill into City of Boulder open space area. Crews were able to get ahead of the fire and cut it off before it spread too far into fields. Crews contained the fire to less than 1.5 acres.
