Jubilee Fire

At 12:01 on April 11th, 2025 Jeffcom 911 dispatched Elk Creek Fire Protection District to a reported wildland fire at 14141 Jubilee Trail in Jefferson County. Utility 496 arrived to a slow moving   fire burning in grass, brush, shrub and some trees. Command requested a 2nd alarm wildland fire response fire when the fire behavior began to increase with possible structures threatened and also requested air resources. Fifteen homes were evacuated before crews were able to gain control of the fire and were able to cancel the air resources. The fire was contained before 13:00 and crews started mop up on hot spots. The fire burned 1.84 acres and no injuries were reported. Additional information provided by Elk Creek Fire Protection District
