The North Area Technical Rescue Team held their annual 3rd quarter training at Rocky Mountain Prestress, 5801 Pecos St. on September 12th, 15th and 16th, 2016. The training, hosted by Adams County Fire Rescue, focused on structural collapse. Firefighters trained on cutting through walls and lifting 12,000-pound slabs of concrete off of victims. The NATRT consists of Adams County Fire Rescue, Arvada Fire Protection District, Brighton Fire Rescue District, Federal Heights Fire Department, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, North Metro Fire Rescue District, Mountain View Fire Rescue, South Adams County Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department and Westminster Fire Department and participated in the training.
