Vehicle Into House

At 18:06 Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District was alerted to a possible vehicle into a house at W. 33rd Ave. & Harlan St. Battalion 71 arrived to a full size SUV into a house with a second house involved. Engine 73 arrived and checked for injuries, and Engine 71 was assigned to check the stability of the second structure. Command requested mutual-aid from West Metro Fire Rescue Tech Rescue Team. Rescue 4 and the Collapse Rescue arrived on scene to stabilize the structure, Air 14 and Brush 13 with the collapse trailer were requested. The SUV was removed and then crews secured the opening into the house, and the scene was turned over Wheat Ridge Police Department for the investigation. A total of three patients were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. WRPD determined that the SUV driver backed out through his garage door and than across the street into the neighboring house.
