At 17:47 on December 17th, 2018 MetCom dispatched Sable Altura Fire Rescue to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on S. Gun Club Rd. just south of E. Chenango Pl. Initial reports were two vehicles involved with one person complaining of back pain and five people in the other vehicle, prompting Medic 41 to request Medic 42 to respond. Chief 42, on duty with Buckley Fire & Emergency Services, offered additional assistance and went en route. Updates en route noted that there were potentially four to five patients on scene, prompting a request for a medic from South Metro Fire Rescue. Medic 23 arrived to two to three vehicles involved with minor damage and law enforcement on scene at 18:03. Units remained on scene until 18:29 with one patient transported by Medic 41 to UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital.
