The North Area Technical Rescue Team (NATRT) conducted rescue training at the North Metro Fire Rescue Training Center on April 22nd, 2026. Firefighters from North Metro Fire Rescue District, Mountain View Fire Rescue, South Adams County Fire Department and Louisville Fire Protection District from the Boulder Valley Technical Rescue Team (BVTRT). Early evolution was for a rescue via a below grade manhole and followed by a team entry into their below grade tunnel. The NATRT team is Adams County Fire Rescue, Arvada Fire Protection District, Brighton Fire Rescue District, Federal Heights Fire Department, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, North Metro Fire Rescue District, Mountain View Fire Rescue, South Adams County Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department and Westminster Fire Department.
