Fired Up For Kids Calendar Tryouts The 2012 Fired Up for Kids Colorado Firefighter Calendar tryouts were held at the EXDO Event Center on April 23rd, 2011. Two dozen firefighters took to the catwalk in hopes of claiming a month in the coveted beefcake style calendar. Proceeds from the calendar benefit the Burn Center at Children’s Hospital.

Douglas Wilder Funeral Douglas Wilder, retired Assistant Chief passed away on October 17th, 2010. Doug served in the Marine Corps and then spent 36 years with the Denver Fire Department. The funeral was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Denver on October 23rd, 2010, and the procession was followed to the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.
