Structural Collapse Rescue Training
The North Area Technical Rescue Team (NATRT) conducted collapse rescue training at the North Metro Fire Training Center in Northglenn on March 11, 2021. Crews spent the day cutting through concrete and searching for victims in a simulated structure collapse. NATRT, formed in June 1995, is a combined technical rescue team that responds to technical rescues in the suburbs north of Denver. The team specializes in rope, confined space, trench and collapse and rescues. Adams County Fire Rescue, Arvada Fire Protection District, Brighton Fire Rescue District, Federal Heights Fire Department, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Mountain View Fire Rescue, North Metro Fire Rescue District, South Adams County Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department and Westminster Fire Department make up the team with several members from the Colorado Task Force 1.
