North Metro Fire Rescue District in cooperation with Paratech hosted Blue Collar Rescue School at the North Metro Fire Rescue Training Center on July 16th, 2022. Students from numerous Colorado departments spent the day working on stabilization and immobilization techniques at three different scenarios. This class was designed to deal with the complexities of commercial vehicle accidents with an emphasis on separating the commercial vehicle from passenger vehicles in order to expedite patient extrication. Firefighters from Arvada Fire Protection District, Berthoud Fire Protection District, Black Forest Fire Protection District, Boulder Fire-Rescue DepartmentBrighton Fire Rescue District, Evans Fire Protection District, Fort Carson Fire & Emergency Services, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Genoa Rural Volunteer Fire Department, Greeley Fire Department, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Mountain View Fire Rescue, North Metro, Poudre Fire Authority and Westminster Fire Department participated in the training.
