On November 10th, 2022 the Front Range Fire Consortium’s (frontrangefireconsortium.org) recruit academy Class 20-01 participated in their “Hell Night”. Live fire training including propane fires, car fires, vehicle extrications and emergency medical responses during the day and structure fire drills at night. The Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC) is made up of these member departments: Boulder Fire-Rescue Department, Central Valley Fire Protection District (Montana), Cheyenne Fire Rescue (Wyoming), Front Range Fire Rescue, Greeley Fire Department, Laramie Fire Department (Wyoming), Longmont Fire Department, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Mountain View Fire Rescue, Platte Valley Fire Protection District, Poudre Fire Authority, Wellington Fire Protection District and Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue. The FRFC offers its membership two recruit fire academies a year, one in the spring, and one in the fall. The recruit academy is a 15-week, 800-hour course of mostly hands on skills training.
