The Boulder Valley Fire Consortium held its first Boulder Valley Technical Rescue Academy in Boulder County for a 10-day introductory course with agencies from Boulder County and across the Denver Metro area that sent firefighters to learn more depth about different technical rescue skills, such as high and low-angle rescue, trench rescue, confined space, structural collapse shoring, stabilization, essential technical search and rescue operations including, rope rescue and more.
Boulder Fire-Rescue Department, Boulder Rural Fire Rescue, North Area Technical Rescue Team, Lafayette Fire Department, Louisville Fire Protection District, Longmont Fire Department, Mountain View Fire Rescue, Adams County Fire Rescue, Brighton Fire Rescue District, South Adams County Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department, Westminster Fire Department, Denver Fire Department and other participated in the trainings.
