On May 25th, 2023 the Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC) Academy Class 23-1 graduation was held at the Rez Church in Loveland. Recruits from 9 northern Colorado fire agencies became firefighters by taking their oaths, having badges pinned by friends and family, and received their helmets. Class 23-1 participated in 14 weeks of classroom and drill ground training covering many aspects of firefighting and rescue work. An inspirational keynote address was given by Operations Chief Paul Capo of the Estes Valley Fire Protection District.
The Front Range Fire Consortium (FRFC) is made up of these member departments: Boulder Fire-Rescue Department, Boulder Rural Fire Rescue, Front Range Fire Rescue, Greeley Fire Department, Longmont Fire Department, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Mountain View Fire Rescue, Platte Valley Fire Protection District, Poudre Fire Authority, Wellington Fire Protection District and Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue.
