Tender 181 Rollover

At 19:28 on August 7th, 2018 Franktown Fire Protection District was responding to a mutual-aid structure fire for West Douglas County Fire Protection District in Sedalia when Tender 181 rolled over at N. Perry Park Rd. (Hwy. 105) and Wolfensberger Rd. in Douglas County. South Metro Fire Marshal responding to the house fire discovered the accident with two firefighters pinned in the unit. Crews arrived on scene and started extrication which took about 35 minutes, with both bring airlifted to local trauma centers. Perry Park Rd. was closed down for several hours as the Colorado State Patrol investigated the cause of the accident. Both of the firefighters have been released from the hospital and are recovering at home.
