On March 21st, 2025 a Celebration of Life was held for Community Risk Reduction Specialist Kristen Hayes at the Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette. Kirsten had joined the Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District in 2023 and was passionate about teaching community classes and doing outreach in the communities served. Kristen had began her career in Emergency Services back in 2009 when she started as a 911 Dispatcher for Adams County Communications (ADCOM). In 2018 she joined the South Adams County Fire Department and served as the Fire Prevention Specialist and Life Safety Educator.
