Ferris Fire

The Ferris Fire is burning in the San Juan National Forest northeast of Pleasant View in Dolores and Montezuma Counties which started June 27th, 2026 on the San Juan National Forest. The fire merged with the Far Draw and the Doe Canyon Fire on June 28th, 2026. The fire has burned 63,271 acres with 19% containment as of July 10th, 2026. San Juan Team 8, the local Type 3 Incident Management Team is in command of the fire. Crews are battling multiple active fires as lightning has started many of these.
